Why charge a salon fee in addition to groomer’s fee?

The fee is for a fully equipped salon outside your doorsteps. There is less stress on your pet being right outside of your home in a one-on-one situation with the groomer. SIR FUR™ saves you the trouble of trips to and from the groomer (and a dirty car or a carsick kitty).

What are your groomer’s fees?

All prices are an estimate and depend on the size and breed of pet. Please fill out our online form, call the main line at 899-8989, or email us at sirfurpets@aol.com with specific details about your pet and we will be happy to give a quote. All fees include a bath with a hydro-surge bathing system, nail smooth, anal gland expression if needed, ear flaps cleansed, ear hair plucked for those dogs needing it, teeth brushed and hair styled to owners request. Special bow and bandana requests need to be made prior to the appointment, so we stock the appropriate accessories.

How often do you clean the vans?

Our vans are professionally cleaned and stocked at the end of each day. We clean and maintain our equipment in between each groom throughout the day.

What does your mobile grooming van offer inside?

We offer a fully equipped grooming salon on wheels.  Our facility offers a full size tub with a hydro-surge bathing system. We have hydraulic tables that go to the floor for those large breeds and older pets who are not comfortable being lifted by hand. Our clippers/scissors are top of the line. We have a full drying system done by hand. Vans are fully air conditioned and heated for year round comfort.

Can I request an appointment online?

Yes, of course! Please click here to request an appointment. We will make every effort to get you on the schedule ASAP, but please allow several days to get on the schedule.

What does the 2-hour appointment window mean?

The two hour window given is for arrival time, not for the appointment time. Example, if we say we have you scheduled for arrival between 1:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m. we could arrive at 1:01 p.m. or 2:59 p.m. Due to a longer previous groom appointment or traffic, we give our Groomers plenty of time to get to you. Thanks!

Do I need to be home when you groom my pet?

We do need to meet the owner or the person responsible for giving grooming instructions and completing our groom contract. After the first groom, you may set up appointments, set up an account with us  and leave instructions on  how to access to your pet.
